Kongo, a town in the Nabdam region of Ghana's Upper East Region, is characterized by poverty and a weak educational system. The Nabdam region ranks first in the ranking of the multi-factor poverty factor, taking into account factors such as living space, water access, and access to basic resources such as gas for cooking. The government hardly invests in the economic growth of the region, and there is a lack of funds for education and related costs. This leads to inadequate infrastructure and a shortage of qualified teachers. Many schools are overcrowded and do not have the necessary materials to provide quality education. Despite these challenges, there are initiatives that try to improve the situation. The Kong-Daborin School is an example. It is one of the few schools in the region that strive to provide children with a basic education. To support their efforts, we donated a blackboard to the Kong-Daborin School. This blackboard is intended to help students better follow the lessons and improve their learning outcomes. It is important to emphasize that this is only a small step to strengthen the education system in the Nabdam region. Further investments and initiatives are needed to sustainably improve the quality of education and provide children in Kongo with a better future.
